We use contact details, property addresses, enquiry details, correspondence and relevant work photographs to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, carry out electrical work and maintain invoices, certificates and job records.

 

We receive information directly from customers and, where relevant, from landlords or letting agents arranging work. Without sufficient contact and property information, we may be unable to provide our services.

 

Why we use it

 

We use information to fulfil contracts or take steps requested before a contract, meet legal obligations, and support legitimate business interests such as arranging access, maintaining work records and handling enquiries or disputes.

 

We use relevant work photographs to help prepare job descriptions and work briefs.

 

Sharing information

 

Relevant information may be shared with technology providers supporting our website and business systems, professional advisers, certification bodies and authorities where necessary.

 

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Contact us for information about overseas processing and relevant safeguards.

 

Keeping records

 

We review records annually. Enquiries that have not become jobs are reviewed after 12 months without contact, and unnecessary details and photographs are removed unless there is a continuing reason to retain them.

 

Completed-job records and electrical certificates are retained where needed for installation history, safety, certification or legal purposes. Accounting records are normally retained for at least six years, or longer where required.

You can manage optional website cookies through Privacy Settings. We do not use customer details to send promotional messages.

 

Your rights

 

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your information, restrict its use, request a portable copy, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it.
